A Case of the Monday's

Well today is wholly and truly Monday... It is winter break and I feel like crap. Why does this always have to happen? Bleh :(

I have been reading romance lately instead of Mystery or Thriller, but I always have a special place in my heart for Nancy Drew! This is the series that started me reading and I am slowly but surely collecting them all! There are over 200!!! That's a lot of money to spend and I want the yellow hard back ones, so it will cost me.

I always love a little bit of mystery and thriller along with my romance and other genres, so if you can let me know about some I would be stoked to check them out :)

Hope everyone is getting ready for the New Year and the new reading challenge on Goodreads! I will be starting my 365 book challenge over tomorrow, so wish me luck. A Book a Day Keeps the Boredom at Bay ;)

A Case of the Monday's

One of my favorite books turned into a movie is Dan Brown's Angels & Demons. It has been a while since I have read this book, but I may have to pull it off my shelf downstairs! I fell in love with Dan Brown's books many years ago when my hubby brought one home for me. It soon became an obsession.

If you have not read any of Dan Brown's work I highly recommend you pick up a book, really any of his books, now!

Not all mysteries have to be serious. In fact, some of them can be down right hilarious! A Thrift Shop Murder by N.M. Howell & L.C. Hibbett is a book I found through an ARC opportunity and I was stoked to get a chance to share it with all of you :)

One witch with a grudge, three cats with a secret, and one vegan with a very big problem.
Priscilla "Price" Jones is down on her luck. First, her childhood sweetheart dumps her a month before their wedding so he can hook up with a model he met at one of his yogalates fitness studios. Then, her vegan smoothie store burns to the ground.

Out of work and out of love, Priscilla accepts the first job she can find, packs her bags, and takes the first bus from Portland to Salem, Oregon, to find her luck is even worse than she thought. Her new boss just died, and the old lady's thrift store, her apartment, and three huge male cats just got added to her long list of problems. But when Price opens one of the old lady's books and accidentally unleashes some witchy magic, she soon realizes her troubles have only just begun.

A Case of the Monday's

Good Morning! So today I sent my son on the bus to his first real day of school. It is a little bittersweet for me, so I am in a kind of a nostalgic mood. I just can't believe that my baby is almost 6 years old. But I digress.

Lately I have been watching Bones with my husband as our adult time after our son goes to bed. I love this series so much that when I first started watching it I decided that I wanted to read the books to. So today is about the Temperance Brennan series by Kathy Reichs. The first book is Deja Dead, so if you like the TV series Bones then you should check out this amazing series.

A Case of the Monday's

Today I took my son to do some testing before he starts Kindergarten! I am so excited and a little scared, but what can a mother do? He starts school full time next week and I am slightly freaking out. He will have one day of school this week to get him used to it and my plan is to spend a little time for myself reading.

One of the genre's that I like to read is mysteries. It has been a while since I have read a good mystery that pulled me in and wouldn't let go. One book that I have not read yet is The Bone Collector by Jeffery Deaver. I loved the movie, but I have found that most books are 10x better than the movie, so I am slightly excited to read this book :)

I need more ideas for mysteries or thrillers that I can read. So leave a comment and give me some suggestions.

I recently decided to re-read my copy of the Da Vinci Code because it is one of my favorite's. I love puzzles and this book keeps you guessing from start to finish. I know most people have probably watched the movie, but if you are a true book nerd (like yours truly :) ) Then you should definitely read the book as well as the first in the series, Angels & Demons.

When I discovered this series I was immediately hooked on all things Dan Brown so I decided to read all of his books! That's what you're supposed to do right? Well they are amazing and I would highly recommend any of his books if you are looking for action, suspense, and a good mystery.

Hello all. I have listed this series, but it bears repeating. I absolutely love the Nancy Drew Mysteries. They are one of my all time favorite series and really fun mysteries for young teens to old slueths. I have a couple of new mysteries that are going to be coming up in my reading list shortly so stay tuned and I will fill you in on some of my new mystery reads.
